Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and PharmaVault, a study service run from Nairobi, Kenya. They apply whenever you use pharmavault.site. By creating an account, or by using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use PharmaVault.

What PharmaVault is

PharmaVault offers revision material for health-science students at the University of Nairobi: written guides, past-paper collections, flashcards and multiple-choice question banks, organised by year, unit and topic, and Ask Vaulty, an assistant that answers questions from that material. Anyone can browse the list of material. Reading it needs a free account. PharmaVault is free to use.

PharmaVault is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the University of Nairobi. The material is revision support written by students. It is not official course content, not a replacement for your lectures, textbooks or clinical teaching, and not medical advice. Never rely on it to diagnose or treat a patient.

Who may use it

• You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
• The information you give us, including your name and email address, must be true and yours.
• An account is for one person. You may not share it or let anyone else use it.

Your account

• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
• You can be signed in on up to three devices at once. A device unused for 60 days is signed out automatically, and you can sign out any device from your Account page.
• If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and sign out your other devices straight away, and tell us at pharmavault.contact@gmail.com.
• You can delete your account yourself at any time from your Account page. Deletion is permanent and takes your progress and bookmarks with it.

Using the material

The material on PharmaVault belongs to PharmaVault and its authors and is protected by Kenya's Copyright Act, 2001. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to read and study it, and to make your own notes from it, for your own learning. That licence ends if your account ends.

You may not:

• copy, download in bulk, redistribute, sell or publish the material, or share it, whole or in part, in group chats, channels, drives or other websites;
• use software to scrape, harvest or bulk-download the library, or upload the material to another service, including AI tools;
• remove or hide any notice of who made the material;
• get around the sign-in, the device limit or any other way we control access.

Sharing a link to a page on PharmaVault is always welcome. If you believe something on the site uses your work without permission, email pharmavault.contact@gmail.com and we will look into it promptly and remove it where appropriate.

Ask Vaulty

• Ask Vaulty uses artificial intelligence to answer from our notes and shows which notes it used. It can still be incomplete or wrong: check its answer against the notes it cites.
• It is a study aid, not medical advice, and must not be used to make decisions about a patient.
• Each account has a daily limit of questions, shown on the Ask Vaulty page. We may change the limit, or pause Ask Vaulty, at any time.
• Do not put personal information, yours or anyone else's, into a question. How questions are handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

When you use PharmaVault you must not:

• break any law, including Kenya's Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018;
• try to gain access to accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or test, probe or attack the security of the service;
• overload, disrupt or interfere with the service, or introduce harmful code;
• pretend to be someone else, or use the contact form to harass, threaten or spam;
• enter information that could identify a patient anywhere on the site.

If you find a security weakness, please tell us privately at pharmavault.contact@gmail.com rather than testing it further or sharing it.

Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we must to protect students, the service or the material. Where we can, we will tell you why; you can ask us to review the decision by emailing pharmavault.contact@gmail.com. A suspended account can still be deleted by its owner. When an account is closed or deleted, access ends and its data is handled as our Privacy Policy describes.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep PharmaVault available and its material accurate, but we provide it as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will always be online, error-free or complete, or that it covers everything you will be examined on. We may add, change or remove material and features, and we may pause or stop the service.

Our liability

PharmaVault is a free study aid. As far as Kenyan law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from relying on the material or on Ask Vaulty, including exam results, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any liability, or removes any right you have, that cannot be limited or removed under Kenyan law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2012.

Your privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we keep it safe and the rights you have. It forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For a significant change we will tell you on the site, or by email, before it applies to you. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account; continuing to use PharmaVault after the change means you accept it. This version replaces the one dated 9 September 2026.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If something goes wrong, please email us first and we will try to put it right. Any dispute we cannot settle between us will be decided by the courts of Kenya.
